Capcom Creators: Application

Code of Conduct
Code Of Conduct

This code of conduct applies to all Capcom Creators members in all Capcom communities online (including, but not limited to, our own hosted communities, Discord, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook).

Capcom is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, parental status (including pregnancy), marital status, national origin, age, disability (physical or mental), genetic information, political affiliation, socioeconomic status or background, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, computing experience, or clothing. Consider that calling attention to differences or making jokes about them can feel alienating.

We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to the protected classes above, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, photography or audio/video recording against reasonable consent, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Harassment does not need to be recognized as unwanted or unwelcome by anyone other than the person being harassed.

Be careful in the words that you choose. Remember that sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and other exclusionary jokes can be offensive to those around you. Offensive jokes are not appropriate and will not be tolerated under any circumstance.

1. Be inclusive.

We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.

2. Be considerate.

We all depend on each other to produce the best work we can as a community. Your decisions will affect clients and colleagues, and you should take those consequences into account when making decisions.

3. Be respectful.

We won't all agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for disrespectful behavior. We will all experience frustration from time to time, but we cannot allow that frustration to become personal attacks. An environment where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive or creative one.

4. Choose your words carefully.

Always conduct yourself professionally. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior aren't acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Threats of violence towards yourself or others.
  • Discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Sharing sexually explicit or violent material via electronic devices or other means.
  • Threats to dox or leak personal information
  • Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
5. Don't harass.

In general, if someone asks you to stop something, then stop. When we disagree, try to understand why. Differences of opinion and disagreements are mostly unavoidable. What is important is that we resolve disagreements and differing views constructively.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Team members violating these rules may be sanctioned or removed from Capcom spaces. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please report it in #reports channel in the Capcom Creators Discord server, or email us at immediately.

6. Make differences into strengths.

We can find strength in diversity. Different people have different perspectives on issues, and that can be valuable for solving problems or generating new ideas. Being unable to understand why someone holds a viewpoint doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. Don’t forget that we all make mistakes, and blaming each other doesn’t get us anywhere. Instead, focus on resolving issues and learning from mistakes.

7. Follow any content policies or embargoes in place, along with any additional guidelines set by developers.

As a Capcom Creators member, it is crucial that you follow our official VIDEO POLICY when creating content for our games. This will prevent having your video/content taken down and help maintain your spot in the program.

You may find yourself in privileged positions regarding knowledge around game releases, early access, behind closed doors press events and more. In these cases, creators are expected to abide by and follow any embargoes placed on gaming content and any other guidelines provided by game developers.

8. Cheating is never cool, so don’t do it here.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for cheating; this means no view-botting, artificial inflation of social platforms, and abiding by the gameplay terms of service for each of our titles. Hacked content and inappropriate mods are considered a violation of this rule and are prohibited. Please refer to our VIDEO POLICY for more info.

9. Phishing, impersonating, and spamming are all prohibited.

Impersonating, spamming, and phishing of any kind will not be tolerated.

10. Have fun, be respectful
